CareFirst Program Integration Consultant-Clinical Configuration (Remote) in Baltimore, Maryland

PURPOSE:

The GuidingCare System Configuration Consultant is a highly technical and strategic role, responsible for the hands-on configuration of the GuidingCare platform (supporting Care Management, Utilization Management, and Appeals & Grievances) to meet the unique needs of clinical teams across all lines of business. This individual will be a subject matter expert on GuidingCare's functionalities and configuration capabilities, serving as the primary point of contact for all configuration-related matters.

We are looking for an experienced professional to work remotely from within the greater Baltimore metropolitan area. The incumbent will be expected to come into a CareFirst location periodically for meetings, training and/or other business-related activities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Leads internal clinical program integration across the clinical technology ecosystem and ensures clinicals programs comply with business requirements. Coordinates and supports the implementation of system configurations designed to achieve the overall mission, goals, and objectives of the programs.

  • Serves as primary liaison with internal and external constituencies on all matters relating to program activities and configurations. Support internal and external policy decisions by providing senior management with extensive analysis and recommendations on the operational impacts to GuidingCare clinical workflows. Collaborate with internal stakeholders across various departments (sales, account management, product development) to support strategic initiatives related to GuidingCare configurations.

  • Provides technical guidance, consultation, related support to clientele within area of program focus; provides day-to-day problem solving as necessary on day-to-day program-related needs and issues.

  • Creates, produces and provide training and support to internal teams and clients on configuration best practices and troubleshooting update configuration guides and best practices to ensure consistency and efficiency across implementations.

  • Optimize existing processes, improve workflow and increase efficiency of the cross-functional implementation across all clinical initiatives.

  • Oversees and/or coordinates the collection, compilation of comprehensive documentation for all configuration processes and procedures.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:

This position has no direct reports, however, may informally lead teams in a matrix environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education Level: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field OR in lieu of a Bachelor's degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required in addition to the required work experience.

Experience: 10 years experience in product delivery, process and performance management, or project/program implementation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Expert working knowledge of GuidingCare, clinical workflows across all lines of business.

  • 3+ years experience with clinical tool (GuidingCare Preferred) configurations.

  • 4+ years working as a technical liaison to clinical teams set up, configure and build clinical workflows.

  • Experience with large plan implementation of GuidngCare or other Health Edge products.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs)

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs.

  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Ability to maintain effective interpersonal relationships

  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.

  • Must be able to meet established deadlines and handle multiple customer service demands from internal and external customers, within set expectations for service excellence. Must be able to effectively communicate and provide positive customer service to every internal and external customer, including customers who may be demanding or otherwise challenging.

Salary Range: $95,920 - $171,457

This compensation range is specific and considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilites of the position, the candidate's work experience, education/training, internal peer equity, and market and business consideration. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at the top of the range, as compensation decisions depend on each case's facts and circumstances, including but not limited to experience, internal equity, and location.
