Job Overview

The Global Program Management Leader (Sr Manager Program Management) will be responsible for the ownership of Growth Initiatives funnel against target objectives and program deployment across global, regional, and cross-functional teams. This will include deployment structure, standard work, enabling tools, documentation, cadence of reviews, reporting, program metrics, and countermeasures.

The Global PM Leader will assist the organization in project prioritization and resource management while effectively communicating program status, anticipating and escalating program issues, and proposing solutions to meet project goals. The role best suits a candidate who is highly organized, articulate, and hands-on, comfortable communicating at all levels of the organization, managing conflict, influencing resources outside one’s reporting structure, removing obstacles, driving progress, and maintaining accountability.

This role will act as a player-coach, helping to build and manage PM process, standard work, and methodology for engagement with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities:

  • This individual deploys hard and soft skills, business acumen, leadership skills, and Project Management techniques and tools to drive project performance

Typical responsibilities include:

Program Management:

  • Lead the program management of a portfolio of strategic initiatives to provide visibility, drive prioritization, maximize impact value and ensure delivery of expected results.

  • Execute programs within scope, time, and resource allocation.

  • Coordinate closely with project stakeholders and cross-functional teams to document project scope and objectives.

  • Lead program status updates to management relating to milestones and problem/high risk areas (e.g., technical, cost, and schedule)

Project Management Coaching & Support:

  • Create project schedule, identify critical path, and maintain throughout execution.

  • Work with the project teams to define, assess and mitigate risks that have a major impact on project cost, schedule, investment, and technology.

Establish PMO standards & build capability within the channel organization:

  • Drive consistency and excellence in scoping, development, and execution of initiatives.

  • Partner with senior leaders and stakeholders to improve the overall PMO process and apply lessons learned that will ensure future success.

  • Coordinate with multi-disciplinary functions within the organization to maintain and track multiple parallel projects to plan.

What your background should look like:

Desired Skills and Capabilities:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience managing global, complex, technical projects

  • Direct experience leading large scale, cross-functionally highly complex projects/programs successfully. Proven experience in managing $100M+ in global project revenue.

  • Bachelor’s degree required, Masters or MBA preferred

  • PMP certification required

  • Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma methodology preferred

  • Familiarity with Rapid Growth Process methodology a plus

  • Excellent knowledge of Project Management methodology - planning, monitoring, controlling and governance of a program

  • Effective leadership, interpersonal and communication skills and comfortable operating and communicating with very senior levels of the organization.

  • Collaborative and able to influence decisions with both internal and external stakeholders to drive mutually beneficial outcomes

  • Proven ability to manage across functions particularly where resources do not report directly to the role

  • Highly driven self-starter, dynamic, action oriented and able to motivate colleagues and directs

  • Analytical with bias to Action

  • Strategic mind-set and familiar with delivering transformational change

  • Be an intelligent risk taker, someone who challenges the status quo, operates across boundaries, and seeks win-win outcomes.

  • Be disciplined in execution; retaining tight governance over multiple dimensions of performance; ensuring commitments are understood and met.

  • Experience working with Agile methodologies for technology development

COMPENSATION

• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $160,000 – 240,000 (subject to change dependent on physical location)

• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.

• Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
