Band 4 – Health Engagement Manager

Role Summary:

Oversees and develops wellbeing professionals who influence client organizational wellbeing and vitality strategies. Utilizes in-depth professional knowledge and experience to set departmental goals which align with functional strategy. Champions the execution of projects/initiatives that align to team performance and segment/enterprise business goals. Establishes operational objectives and work plans, and delegates assignments to functional team. Frequently advises team on moderately complex matters and develops resolution strategy for role-related escalations.

Responsibilities:

  • Coaching and managing performance

  • Developing and implementing individual development action plans support efforts to align with business strategy and goals

  • Setting clear and appropriate performance expectations. Evaluates and provides timely feedback on performance against those expectations.

  • Evaluating strengths and areas of development; career check in mid-year and year-end performance review discussions

  • Collaborates with peer leaders and key matrix partners

  • Models critical organizational wellbeing strategy skills and acts as a subject matter expert for direct reports and National Account team members as necessary

  • Participates as a key member of hiring process for new team members

  • Stays abreast of key market trends and third-party wellness vendor landscape

  • Demonstrates knowledge of Cigna products and services

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and influence others

  • Expert knowledge (min 3+ years) in healthcare with large national clients, including many or all of the following: people management, product knowledge, marketing processes, sales practices, account management and knowledge of administrative operations

  • Strong persuasion skills and effective communicator; possesses excellent relationship-building skills

  • Demonstrated planning/organizational skills; ability to plan for both the long and short term; ability to work on many issues at once and to prioritize work

  • Demonstrated ability to develop strong working relationships with matrix partners in the organization

  • Customer focus - ability to meet client expectations and act with a strong focus on how to deliver

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; confident and credible presenter

  • College Degree or 5+ years equivalent related experience

  • Can work and lead a team independently

  • Demonstrated examples of critical thinking and execution

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, influencing skills; exhibits courage

If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 89,700 - 149,500 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
