Insight Global REMOTE Data Center Program Manager in Boydton, Virginia

Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Data Center Program Manager to join an exsisting team at one of our largest technology clients. This person will work within the IT Cloud Operations organization to bridge the gap between construction and IT Operations. This person will serve as a representative, working with onsite local data center design, commissioning, and construction teams to speed up GPU deployments. This person will be responsible for:

  • Manage programs associated within area of responsibility.

  • Engage with appropriate teams and resources to execute tasks or projects.

  • Perform day-to-day project check-in and updates to manage project delivery and quality.

  • Identify risks, gaps, and opportunities and communicate to stakeholders and other teams to drive resolution.

  • Work closely with both internal and external partners to streamline data center launch schedules by critically assessing and refining current procedures.

  • Offer operational perspective analysis on new data center designs to ensure that they meet the standards of reliability, efficiency, and scalability that are essential for operability and datacenter availability.

  • Engage with 3rd party maintenance suppliers for contract/agreement set-up.

  • Attend design review meetings for new data center builds to highlight operational concerns.

  • Be a representative for data center Operations teams during execution of end-to-end data center construction projects.

  • Support engineering and construction teams in facilitating inquiries requiring input from Operations.

  • Share lessons learned and work with stakeholders to develop mitigation plans.

  • Maintain communication and collaboration through all phases of a project.

  • Conduct review of turnover documentations such as O&M's, as built & record drawings, permits, certificates, and warranty documents.

  • Perform site acceptance through CSA walks, beneficial use, and turnover walks.

  • Develop and maintain reports and tooling to clearly communicate status of assigned projects.

Pay Range for this role is between 35-65/Hr

Skills and Requirements

  • Bachelors or Master's Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or related work experience

  • 3+ years of working experience in mission critical facilities and infrastructures

  • 3+ years' hands-on experience in a similar Program Manager role

  • 3+ years' experience in a 24x7x365 production environment or related experience

  • 3+ years' experience in datacenter design, construction, commissioning and onboarding processes or related experience * At least three years' experience working with collaboration platforms (e.g. SharePoint, MS Teams etc.)

  • At least two years' experience with reporting and data analytics systems & platforms (e.g. PowerBI)

  • Strong working knowledge of physical data center infrastructure and technology

  • Willingness to work flexible hours, non-business hours, or other scenarios required by business needs

  • Knowledge of design, construction and commissioning techniques, terminology, and documentation

  • Practical experience with building management systems and automation, controls & framework.

  • Ability to initiate, drive and delivery projects, analyze complex problems and communicate plans and findings to internal customers/stakeholders null
