Pay
Minimum – Anticipated Maximum Base Salary: $95900 - $129400 / year
In addition to base salary, we offer an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan. The advertised pay range represents what we believe at the time of this job posting, that we would be willing to pay for this position. Responsibilities
Design and implementation of scalable data processing and analytics solutions using Databricks
Architect and optimize data pipelines for performance and cost-efficiency within the Databricks environment
Design and implement ELT processes using Databricks jobs to process and transform raw data into a usable format for analysis
Develop and optimize Spark jobs for data processing, analysis, and machine learning tasks using Databricks jobs
Design and implement sophisticated machine learning models and algorithms into the data platform
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and implement solutions
Pinpoint and resolve efficiency issues within Databricks jobs and clusters, enhancing the speed of data processing and optimizing the use of resources
Establish and uphold security protocols within the Databricks framework to safeguard confidential data, aligning with applicable Legal and Risk standards
Develop and keep up-to-date documentation on Databricks processes, configurations, architecture, and recommended practices, promoting information exchange and cooperative teamwork
Ensure data quality and consistency across distributed data sources and processing layers
Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in big data technologies, particularly within the Databricks ecosystem
Drive innovation and contribute to project planning, technical decision-making, and problem-solving
Work with Delaware North central data team to prioritize and manage Gaming data engineering projects to meet business needs and deadlines, overseeing the design, development, and maintenance of scalable data pipelines
Oversee and enforce Gaming division data governance and data privacy processes
Demonstrate proficiency in relevant technologies and continuously seek improvements to data processes and systems for enhanced efficiency
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or similar STEM field preferred
Minimum of 5 years of experience in data engineering with a strong understanding of the Databricks platform, including Apache Spark, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, and related big data technologies
Proficient in Python, Spark, SQL, and experienced with machine learning frameworks, MLOps, R, and data science tools
Familiar with AWS services, Airflow, various data ingestion patterns such as RESTful APIs, SQL, flat files, and data streams, and aligning data from disparate sources
Experience with machine learning frameworks, MLOps, R, and data scient tools
Extensive experience with handling large data sets, high-performance computing, data integration projects, and integration testing using CI/CD platforms like GitLab
Experience in the gaming industry, particularly with casino management systems and hospitality data, is preferred.
Experience working in the Gaming industry with casino management systems and hospitality preferred.
Knowledge of Point of Sales (POS) systems and Labor management tools such as UKG is a plus.
