Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Application Development Specialist to join our team! In this role you will get to perform systems analysis and identifies application solutions for a variety of computer applications and operational issues.
What You'll Be Doing:
Participates in identifying and evaluating end user requirements for enhancements, modifications and upgrades to existing applications.
Develops general specifications for application development solutions by analyzing new and existing system functions as well as documenting the information obtained from the end user.
Prepares detailed technical specifications and test plans.
Translates high-level specifications for software components into functional designs and writes program code. Revises manuals as required and documents technical procedures.
Provides support to end users, assists in resolving standard operational issues as well as resolving complex issues.
Conducts required research and fact finding, prepares detailed technical specifications from which programs will be written and develops flowcharts and logic diagrams.
Designs, codes, tests and documents moderately complex maintenance programs, sub-routines and database inquiries in appropriate languages. May assist with complex inquiries.
Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
4-year degree in Computer Science (or related curriculum) and at least 2-3 years of progressive experience in systems analysis and programming (or an equivalent combination of work experience and education).
Programming Experience
Experience with OpenText Asset Management System formerly owned by MicroFocus.
Proficient in utilizing at least one programming language (e.g. .NET, C++, Visual Basic, JAVA, SQL, etc.) and knowledge of other languages.
Strong Problem solving and analytical skills.
Build .NET and SQL development skills while supporting scans and remediation of legacy Classic ASP and .NET code
Gain automation experience using Automation Anywhere
Written and oral communication skills appropriate for the position, including the ability to speak very well in basic professional situations and present technical data in a logical manner that is easy to understand (may include communication via telephone, in person, or presenting to small groups).
Ability to write moderately complex documents (may include emails, memos, procedures, presentations). Communicates with a wide variety of individuals (employees and managers) throughout the organization and outside of the organization (i.e. clients, vendors).
Work with established enterprise applications team to maintain and enhance business critical procurement and finance systems

Salary Range:
$29.42 - $51.49
