HIM Outpatient Coder II (Remote)

Contract to hire

Qualifications:

• Required experience: 3 – 5 years Hematology Oncology Infusion coding experience

• Must have 3 plus years of Oncology Infusion coding

• Strong knowledge of: ICD-10-CM diagnostic and ICD-10-PCS procedure codes and CPT codes

Additional Requirements:

• Prefer EPIC and Optum CAC experience

• Own equipment during contract portion

Job Duties:

• Reviews inpatient clinical documentation to determine the appropriate assignment of alpha numeric diagnosis/procedure codes

• Data is classified for internal and external statistical reporting, research, regulatory compliance and reimbursement

• Codes high dollar and more complex accounts

Work Environment:

• Fully Remote position.

• Generally, must have own computer during the contract and then they will supply equipment with the perm offer.

• Hours are flexible but need 40 hours per week.
