Insight Global REMOTE ServiceNow ITSM Developer in Chicago, Illinois

Job Description

Our client is looking for a ServiceNow ITSM Developer to join their ServiceNow platform team to design, develop, configure, troubleshoot, and implement ServiceNow applications & services. This role will join the team that focuses on delivering new enhancements across the platform and ITSM applications. Some of the major responsibilities of this role will be:

(10%) Solution Design: Collaborate with partners to gather requirements, analyze business processes, and translate them into technical solutions leveraging the capabilities of the ServiceNow platform

(40%) Development: Develop solutions using JavaScript, GlideScript, Jelly, AJAX, JSON, AngularJS, Web Services, MYSQL, XML, HTML, and CSS.

Follows best and leading practices for out of the box configurations and any customization as determined by platform architect

(10%) Delivery: Follows different delivery approaches including waterfall, kanban, and agile as aligned to SDLC practices and product management release cycles. Works from a prioritized backlog as part of an agile team, in 2-week sprints as part of a planning increment.

(20%) Integrations: Design and implement integrations between ServiceNow and other enterprise systems, ensuring seamless data flow and interoperability using APIs, Integration Hub, and other methods

(10%) Documentation and Training: Create comprehensive technical documentation, including architectural diagrams, design specifications, and user guides. Conduct training sessions for partners and end-users as needed.

(10%) Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest trends, features, and capabilities of the ServiceNow platform. Proactively seek out areas for process improvement and innovation, such as refactoring existing capabilities for increased value.

Performance Optimization: Execution on performance optimization, scalability improvements, and enhancement of the overall user experience on the ServiceNow platform.

Governance and Compliance: Ensure compliance with security standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices in all aspects of ServiceNow platform implementation and usage

Skills and Requirements

3-5+ years in ITSM ServiceNow development

 Scripting Languages: JavaScript, XML, HTML, CSS

 Ability to understand use cases, personas and create solutions that are fit for use and purpose.

 Integration technologies: REST API, SOAP, MID Server, JDBC, Integration Hub spokes, and Plug-ins/Store apps

 Active ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)

 Experience utilizing App Engine Studio, Washington DC release or newer Active ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD)

Active ServiceNow Implementation Specialist

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field null
