Job Description As an Engineer who remotely provides support for server and storage equipment located at customer sites, you will work in the server environment. We ask that you have self-initiative, ownership, a desire to follow issues to resolution, commercial sensitivity, and be responsiveness and collaborative while offering your technical expertise. You will report to the Supervisor, Remote Support and have a hybrid schedule working in Mayfield Heights, OH. Your Responsibilities: Focus on remote managed services for data centers located in manufacturing facilities. Have technical expertise for computer environments and will help bridge the industrial and information technology paradigms. Support modifying and maintaining Windows Server Operating Systems, Active Directory and Directory Services, and performance monitoring techniques on server software and hardware. Support different VMware products such as vCenter, ESXi versions 6.x+, HorizonView, vSAN and must have experience managing these environments in a production environment. Provide troubleshooting assistance remotely by telephone and email on products to Rockwell Automation field service personnel, distributors, integrators, and customers. Work with other engineers, manage and deal with high pressure situations. Investigate and verify reported product problems in software, firmware, hardware and documentation to improve customer satisfaction and acceptance. The Essentials - You Will Have: Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, information technology, computer programming, or similar field. The Preferred - You Might Also Have: 2+ years' experience Proficiency in VMware associated programs and coding languages, such as Windows Server, MS IIS, SAN/vSAN architectures. Knowledge of the fundamentals of VMware solutions and related technologies. Programming Language for cloud platforms: Python, Java, JavaScript, Power Shell. Availability to resolve urgent VMware environment problems outside of business hours.
