The Business Analyst Consultant will guide the development of the Case and Disease Management and/or Utilization Management side of our clinical platform, Curo. This resource will partner with Business Operations, new and existing markets, and technology leads to design and document requirements to ensure Curo is being developed in a way that meets the national objectives and market needs. Primary focus will be day to day on the activities needed to groom, prioritize, test, and deliver high quality functionality to all Curo markets.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective/strategic business solutions through research and analysis of data and business processes

  • Support short- and long-term operational/strategic business activities through analysis

  • Develop the prioritization and refinement of product requirements and translation of specifications from the clinical and operations team in partnership with all vendors

  • Provide expertise, and/or assistance to internal and/or external partners to ensure programs and strategies are implemented and maintained effectively through technology

  • Guide product design and requirements gathering sessions in coordination with business and care delivery organization partners

  • Develop UAT test plans, as well as document release notes and communicate product updates to all stakeholders

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of consulting level technology product development and portfolio management experience

  • 3+ years or more Heath Care industry experience

  • 3+ years of Utilization Management experience

  • Travel required less than 10%

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Licensed nurse or previous licensed experience

  • Managed Care experience

  • Case Management experience

  • Experience working with EMRs (electronic medical records), Utilization Management and Case Management solutions

Soft Skills:

  • Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Demonstrated excellent customer service orientation

  • Proven team player and team building skills

  • Proven ability/flexibility to assume responsibilities and tasks in a constantly changing work environment

California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, or Washington Residents Only: The salary range for this role is $88,000 to $173,200 annually. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
