As an Account Manager Temperature Sensing– Industrial Sector you will LEAD by……….

  • Developing and overseeing accounts for the industrial sector in Temperature Sensing with specific focus on the Calcining industry.

  • Having responsibility for assisting in the development and implementation of strategic growth plans for the business responsible for meeting the designated objectives of the business.

  • Being responsible for all commercial and technical activities to strategically grow the business.

  • Managing the sales activities to meet the business objectives.

  • Having responsibility for business requirements of both the Thermocouple and Optical product lines in Temperature Sensing.

  • Executing key account development and interacting with all levels of a customer's organization to establish oneself as the face of BASF at the account.

  • Determining proper usage of BASF resources (technical and marketing) to maximize BASF's image and opportunities to include introducing new products, developing sales leads, documenting customer visits, and entering opportunities into salesforce, sampling, addressing pricing requests and implementing price increases, negotiating contracts, monitoring status of ongoing projects and mining for new opportunities.

  • Acquiring a relevant technical knowledge of BASF products and technology portfolio and will stay abreast of main competitor activities and market trends.

  • Being comfortable interfacing with production personnel to review customer requirements and assist in determining priority orders when capacity constraints exist.

  • Providing technical assistance, as required, to assist in evaluations and provide help in new product development.

  • This role is remote/home office based with travel required to customer sites throughout US up to 60%.

Your elements for success……

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience is required. Bachelor's degrees in other technical disciplines (Biology, Chemical Engineering, or related field) will be considered if candidate has significant experience in the industry.

  • Minimum of 3 years work experience in sales, strategic growth, market analysis

  • Experience in precious metal utilization in industrial applications, calcining operations and furnace operations is preferred.

  • Background in control theory, optical pyrometers, and thermocouple technology is a plus.

  • Marketing and/or Project Management exposure also a plus

  • Ability to develop strategic market growth plans.

  • Ability to penetrate large accounts organization and manage complex projects.

  • Results driven, customer oriented, resilient and a reliable team player with a strong commitment.

  • Enthusiastic, organized, self-motivated, with the ability to make technical and marketing presentations.

  • Proficient computer skills, particularly in Microsoft office programs.

  • Ability to travel up to 60% as role requires.

BASF is committed to pay transparency practices. The competitive Pay Range for this role is $90,000 - $130,000. Actual pay will be determined based on education, certifications, experience, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
