About the role:

The Variable Compensation Manager executes Hach’s North America and Europe Variable Compensation (VC) program for the Sales and Service organizations. This role will manage/influence, implement, communicate, and administer competitive Variable Compensation programs.

This position is part of the Human Resources Department located in Loveland, CO and will move to the Sales Excellence function in upcoming months.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead Compensation Analyst in execution of Variable Compensation program.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional team including financial analysts, payroll, Commercial team leaders, and HR Business Partners to ensure effectiveness of VC program.

  • Be responsible for the execution of the annual compensation plans for the sales, service and other eligible associates to variable compensation, using a structured action plan, from the definition of key components working with senior management (Senior Directors, Vice-president and OpCo president), to the execution and communications (Managers, Sellers etc.)

  • Lead the VC steering committee that include commercial leaders, HR and Finance, to submit exceptions and gain appropriate approvals where needed, related to exceptions, changes etc.

Are you qualified?

  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • A minimum of 10 years successful experience in a compensation role with at least 5 years direct experience managing Variable Compensation required

  • Proven previous experience with designing Variable Compensation plans including creatively developing solutions to complex problems required

  • Strong executive relationship building (internal and external) skills required along with presentation skills (verbal and written)

  • Strong analytical – Financial Forecast vs Plan; Data literate/systems knowledgeable (Analytics modeling, Business intelligence e.g. PowerBI/ Qlik, ERP e.g. Oracle/ Infor, CRM e.g. SalesForce); high sense of confidentiality

The salary range for this role is $97,000 - $135,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in Colorado. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
