Responsibilities

  • Understands and practices agile software development and management

  • Lead technical discussions and drive effective technical decisions (with input from other engineers) covering their area of responsibility; collaborate with engineers to define and review the architecture; help engineers solve technical challenges, eliminate dependencies, etc

  • Excels at getting the team to focus on the highest-impact projects

  • Partners effectively with the product to manage scope and deliverables for the technical side of the product roadmap

  • Understand product requirements and translate those into technical details

  • Ensure smooth and timely delivery of the project

Requirements

  • BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent

  • 8+ years of software development experience, a GitHub development portfolio warranting waving this requirement, or the ability to complete coding challenges prior to interview

  • Solid experience and knowledge of JavaScript, ReactJS and TypeScript

  • Proven understanding of Computer Science fundamentals, including web development, service-oriented architecture, cloud computing, test-driven development, and domain-driven design

  • Experience with cloud technologies using Amazon Web Services (AWS), Oracle Cloud or Google Cloud Projects (GCP) is a plus

  • High emotional intelligence to understand, empathize, and respond to team members' needs and concerns

  • Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with team members and stakeholders

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex problems and deliver effective solutions

  • Experience creating a collaborative and enjoyable team environment

This posting includes a good faith range of the salary EPAM would reasonably expect to pay the selected candidate. The range provided reflects base salary only. Individual compensation offers within the range are based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to: geographic location, experience, credentials, education, training; the demand for the role; and overall business and labor market considerations. Most candidates are hired at a salary within the range disclosed. Salary range: $110K - $135K.
