ARAMARK Facilities Operations Excellence Manager - Remote/Travel in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
Job Description
The Facilities Operational Excellence Manager is responsible for providing leadership, support, auditing, and consultative services to develop and enhance new and existing facilities accounts programs and tools. Provides national support to individual regions and accounts in the implementation and improvement of systems, standards, and processes to ensure consistency of Aramark?s operating programs and consistency of Aramark?s operating capability from one facility to the next.
This position is remote based but will require 60%-70% travel.
Scope of Role
Support facilities operations for a $60M major manufacturing and distribution account with a national footprint
Job Responsibilities
Develop and be accountable for a safety culture that creates a work environment where no one gets hurt.
Chief safety officer for account
Manage Aramark safety program, Job Hazard Assessments, incident investigations and reporting,
ISNet advocate and SME for vendor safety and accountability
Use operational expertise to pilot, incubate, document, and implement new and existing processes, best practices, and technologies.
Publish and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) that reflect best practices for the account.
Develop, implement and maintain resources to support processes, accountability, and reporting
Develop and manage training and training resources in support of account processes
Provide national support to team members to review, assess, and improve account operations.
Represent the account as an active member of the Facilities Operational Excellence team at the Facilities Center of Excellence
Additional Responsibilities
Utilize technical expertise to evaluate Aramark's operating program standards, measure performance and recommend solutions in order to enhance or improve operations.
Document observations and recommendations with formal reporting methods for client and internal audiences.
Assist in the development, implementation and facilitation of technical and operational training programs for Facilities Front Line managers and employees.
Tour and inspect the facility to ensure total quality management requirements in maintenance, custodial and grounds operations.
Ensure compliance with all OSHA/EPA regulations and other local, state, and federal government regulations.
Obtain technical skills and knowledge of equipment related to maintenance, custodial, energy and grounds/landscaping operations.
Operations project management ? lead or be involved with all operational optimization activities within the account.
Business process compliance ? collaborate with unit leadership and regional teams to support consistent execution of processes. Conduct routine site audits
Prepare reports/presentations and deliver to team and/or client during regular meetings/reviews and as required.
Qualifications
Solid strategic, analytical, and decision-making
Developing/implementing best practices/SOPs for multiple units/locations..
Project management
Strong interpersonal and cultural awareness acumen
Excellent oral and written communication
Ability to influence and collaborate with others to coordinate activities and accomplish goals.
Microsoft office fluency ? Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Teams
Smartsheet familiarity
Advanced data manipulation skills a plus (PowerBI, advanced excel scripting, etc.)
Process driven but Outcome oriented. Ensures measurable consistent improvement through deliberate application and reinforcement of documented, repeatable processes.
Self-Starter ? Able to operate independently. Takes initiative within area of responsibility to identify and act on opportunities. Can execute within assigned role with minimum guidance.
Ability to handle and prioritize activities across multiple projects/areas of responsibility.
Able to travel nationally 60-80%
Education/Experience
Bachelor degree with a minimum 7 years of experience in facilities management or related fields
Strong preference for manufacturing and/or distribution center/warehousing experience
Working knowledge of facility operations, energy solutions, and/or construction services also required.
PMP, Lean Six Sigma, and/or OSHA safety certifications desired
