WTW Senior Analyst, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) REMOTE in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

The Finance function serves both internal and external customers: colleagues within our company, client organizations, shareholders, financial institutions, vendors, and regulatory agencies around the world. This role resides in our Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Practice within Health Wealth and Careers Finance and will report jointly to Employee Experience (EX) and Work & Rewards (W&R) Global Finance Partners.

The Senior Financial Analyst will serve as a trusted advisor to the North American Leadership Teams for EX and W&R. They will have responsibility for the provision of regional holistic financial support to help the business meet its stated objectives.

The individual filling this role will be responsible for helping the business manage all aspects of Finance, including financial performance management (month end/quarterly close, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, etc.), ad hoc reporting and analysis, controls compliance, as well as facilitate policy implementation and interpretation.

The Role

  • Act as a key strategic financial advisor to the North America EX and W&R business leaders in the financial management of the geography by driving appropriate areas of prioritization that generate the best potential financial outcomes.

  • Support the EX and W&R Finance Directors with the management of the EX and W&R businesses and proactively address any issues within both businesses within North America.

  • Maintain a strong “client service” focus and culture while driving relentless pursuit of business performance optimization through thoughtful reporting and analysis for the North America leadership teams. Identify “best in class” reporting practices, eliminate inefficiencies from current processes, with the primary objective of creating additional capacity to focus on the delivery of value- added reporting and strategic advice to business leaders.

  • Develop and manage strong working relationships across the Health, Wealth & Career (HWC) Finance team as well as with the various departments within Corporate Finance. Be a trusted advisor and partner to internal clients.

  • Implement strong processes to ensure the execution of financial performance management (month end/quarterly close, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, etc.) to meet all key internal stakeholder objectives and deadlines.

  • Analyze business monthly results; conducting a detailed review of monthly P&Ls and propose financial adjustments to reflect proper position as needed. To be proactive in identifying and monitoring key performance indicators, highlighting trends, and analyzing root causes of significant variances to prior year, plan, and forecast.

  • Familiarity with ASC 606/Deferral Accounting and drive critical financial interpretation to support business leadership in the understanding of financial results.

  • Lead annual planning process and quarterly forecasts with business leaders which aligns with achievement of financial objectives that support the underlying company’s internal and external stakeholder goals. Evaluate key trends and identify risk and opportunities for profitable growth and to drive improved forecast accuracy.

  • Perform ad-hoc analyses to support segment or WTW-wide initiatives, including continuous improvement, management reporting, M&A, integration, etc.

  • Support WTW transformation efforts as needed.

  • Support capital and resource allocation decisions through insightful analysis and modelling.

The Requirements

  • Strong understanding of Management Consulting/Professional Services is preferable.

  • 5+ years related experience in financial analysis, accounting, or business operations analysis.

  • Financial and Business acumen as evidenced by having roles with progressively broader financial responsibilities, including exposure to commercial modeling.

  • Demonstrated ability to think critically and analytically, along with ability to interpret and analyze financial data.

  • Proactive approach to problem solving and a customer centric mindset.

  • Must be able to work within a matrix organization to collaborate with others across segments/businesses and geographies.

  • Excellent English oral and written communication skills with the ability to convey financial messages to senior leadership in a succinct and credible manner.

  • Ability to build and maintain relationships across all levels of the organization and with outside personnel; diplomacy, leadership, and confidence are important.

  • Attention to accuracy and detail with the ability to understand materiality and meet deadlines.

  • Systems/data knowledge to be able to direct colleagues in the accumulation and synthesis of data into operational recommendations.

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft applications, Oracle EPM, Hyperion Financial Management and Oracle Financial Applications preferable.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary range and benefits information for this position are being included in accordance with requirements for various state/local pay transparency legislation. Please note that base salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role base on several factors, including but not limited to location of the role, individual qualifications, education/profession certifications, experience, performance in the role and potential for revenue generation (Producer roles only).

Compensation

The base salary compensation range being offered for this role is $105,000 to $120,000 USD per year. This role is also eligible for an annual short-term incentive bonus.
