Reporting to the System Director of Revenue Integrity and working in collaboration with CommonSpirit Health
Operations, this position is responsible for assistance in carrying out and monitoring the majority of the activities
related to Charge Capture activities. This position will require collaboration and consistent communication with
the System and Local Revenue Integrity leadership as well as other members of CommonSpirit Health Middle
Revenue Cycle leadership, Revenue Cycle Partners and Enterprise Executive Leadership, CFOs and CMOs.
The role leads the CommonSpirit Health Charge Capture enterprise with the goal to enhance effectiveness of
patient net revenue realization and minimize revenue leakage across the system. This involves complete capture
of patient revenue in every area that generates charges, management in relation to charging mechanisms and
triggers, ensuring clean handoffs between System leadership teams and clinical departments, denials
management, and clinical operations relations.
Responsibilities
*This is a Remote Opportunity
System Administration: Manage and maintain the charge capture system, including software updates, security patches, and performance monitoring. This includes troubleshooting system issues, resolving errors, and ensuring system uptime.
Project Management: Lead projects related to the charge capture system, including system upgrades, implementations, and process improvements.
Data Integrity: Ensure the accuracy and completeness of charge data captured within the system. Develop and implement processes to identify and correct data errors. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to charge capture accuracy and completeness.
Reporting and Analysis: Generate regular reports on charge capture performance, identifying areas for improvement and potential revenue leakage. Analyze data to identify trends and recommend solutions to optimize the system.
System Enhancements: Collaborate with IT and revenue cycle teams to identify and implement system enhancements to improve efficiency and accuracy of charge capture. This
Support: Ongoing support to end-users on the charge capture system.
Vendor Management: Manage relationships with vendors related to the charge capture system, including software providers and support teams.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and industry best practices related to charge capture and healthcare billing.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, information technology, or a related field.
Master degree preferred.
5 years of experience with Charge Capture Required
5 years of experince as Project Manager Required
5 years leadership experience in related field Required
Proven experience managing and maintaining charge capture systems (specify preferred systems, e.g., Epic, Cerner, Meditech). Experience with [Specific Software] is a plus.
Strong understanding of healthcare billing processes and regulations (e.g., HIPAA, ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS).
Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., SQL, Excel, Tableau).
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Pay Range
$44.73 - $64.85 /hour
