Title: Remote - Benefits Enrollment Counselor/Customer Service Representative

Purpose: To increase new and maintain existing membership of individual clients through proactive and responsive broker and client service.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Understand and maintain excellent working knowledge of products and services. Must be proficient regarding benefits, coverage, billing, payments and claim policies and procedures.

• Works with Brokers/Individual policyholders to provide plan options for renewals and new business.

• Provides telephone customer service and written communications to brokers and individual policyholders as required.

• Logs all calls and interactions as required.

• Performs other related projects as assigned.

TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE, SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

• Preferred- Applicants that have an active Connecticut Health Insurance/Life & Health License, which if not current will be required to be current within 4 weeks of hire.

• Also accepting applicants that have related experience and are willing to become licensed within 4 weeks of hire.

• At least 1 year of previous industry related experience in the area of marketing, sales or client services, claims, benefits enrollment preferred.

• Familiarity with operation including claim, customer service billing and enrollment preferred.

• Excellent oral, written communication and interpersonal skills required.

• Good problem-solving skills required for benefit interpretation for problem resolution.

• Ability to work independently at home.

DETAILS:

• Anticipated Start Date: Tuesday – 9/3/2024

• Contracted position – anticipating going through the end of January 2025 with the possibility of extension.

• After training once go-live starts, employees will be scheduled for an 8-hour shift between the hours of operation 8am - 8pm EST Monday - Friday & 9am - 3pm EST on Saturdays. Most employee's work 1-2 Saturdays per month.

• Training Schedule (4 weeks): Monday – Friday, 8:30am -5pm (EST)

• Pay: without a current CT Health Insurance License - $21/hr. until licensing is completed.

• Pay: with an active license- $24/hr.

• Pay cycle - weekly | medical, dental & vision benefits offered.

• The licensing exam will be reimbursed in full by the company up to 2 attempts. Employees without a current license will receive a pay raise once the licensing is completed.

• 100% REMOTE work from home | Equipment is provided. Must sit in EST or CST time zones.
