Position Description:

CGI is seeking a high performing cybersecurity solutioner with strong technical and operational background to apply security by design and risk management frameworks to complex cloud hosted systems and applications. The role will support clients and enable teammates to perform a wide range of security tasks including secure configuration of cloud components, vulnerability management, incident response, threat hunting, security impact analysis, and compliance auditing. The ideal candidate needs to be versatile – comfortable mentoring junior team members and advising customers, eager to use and configure cloud native security tools, and willing to produce well written documentation of security controls and configuration baselines.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

  • Evaluate security controls and translate them into solutions for implementation in cloud environments.

  • Configure cloud native security tools to support security specialists on your team with SIEM and threat-hunting capabilities.

  • Advise cloud administrators for secure configuration of system components.

  • Analyze vulnerability scan findings and propose remediation strategies to operations and development teams.

  • Work with development teams to identify and mitigate security impacts to application changes.

  • Review, contribute to, and/or create security plans and related documentation.

  • Support annual assessments by identifying appropriate artifacts to submit to auditors.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 5+ years of hands-on technical experience in a system/network engineering or software development role

  • 5+ years of experience in a cybersecurity role, technical or analytical in addition to above

  • Understanding of network operational requirements and software development life cycles

  • Experience with cloud security tools, preferably Azure

  • Knowledge of cloud concepts such as shared responsibility models (i.e., Infrastructure-as-a-Service, Platform-as-a-Service)

  • Knowledge of SIEM and Vulnerability Management tools

  • Understanding of containerized application deployments

  • Strong verbal communication and proven writing skills

  • Willingness to expand beyond technical hands-on work into Risk Management Framework support

US Citizenship is required by government contract

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with any of the following tools:

o Microsoft Sentinel

o Microsoft Defender for Cloud

o Tenable Nessus

  • Knowledge of SOAR and Intrusion Detection concepts

  • Understanding of Zero Trust concepts

  • Understanding of foundational networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, TLS, HTTPS and other common protocols

  • Familiarity with NIST SP 800-53 security controls

  • Experience with Atlassian Confluence and Jira

Due to the nature of the government contracts this position requires US Citizenship

CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $122200 to $213800
