CGI Federal has an immediate need for a User Experience (UX) Designer to join our team & collaborate with agency user interface designers to gather requirements and design the system behavior and user experience for a new system. Additionally, elicit requirements from agency subject matter experts and product owners. Create wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes of user interfaces. In addition, you’ll work with the development team to understand technical constraints and to communicate the desired functionality for the new system. The work location is remote with periodic meetings at CGI Federal Office in Fairfax and Client location in Alexandria.

Your future duties and responsibilities:
• Work with subject matter experts and product owners to elicit requirements and vet potential designs.
• Document scenarios, workflows, personas, user journeys, and other UX requirements.
• Create interactive Axure prototypes to communicate designs for the new system.
• Apply the agency design pattern library while designing user interfaces, and propose pattern library updates as necessary.
• Review designs with the development team to understand technical constraints, and adjust as necessary.
• Conduct usability testing with end users and review findings and design recommendations with product owners to obtain user feedback and improve usability.
• Answer user interface design questions from the development team during UI development.
• Assist product owners in testing developed code (support user acceptance testing).
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 5+ years’ experience in user experience design, including user research activities (facilitating focus groups, gathering requirements, developing personas, scenarios and detailed use cases, conducting usability testing and analysis), and developing interactive designs / mockups / wireframes.
• AXURE RP Pro 9/10
• User Interface Research and Analysis
• User Interface Design
• Experience in responsive design / designing for different viewports (desktop / tablet / mobile).
• Working with design pattern libraries.
• Designing accessible user interfaces.
Est. Salary/Hourly Range (Colorado Only): $86,300 - $112,200*
