ParTech, Inc. is seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Automation Engineer to join our Brink Point-of-Sale (POS) software development team. The Senior QA Automation Engineer will, under general supervision and adhering to established procedures for quality assurance design and implement test strategies related to POS software. The Senior QA Automation Engineer will coordinate, create, execute and maintain test cases to ensure quality control standards are achieved. The Senior QA Automation Engineer will be involved in system, regression, and performance and scalability testing to meet quality objectives.
Why We Need You
Bachelors in Computer Science/Engineering or related field required.
Demonstrated working knowledge of Test Automation. Able to set up new test automation frameworks
Strong functional testing background, including defining test strategy, test planning, test case design, and execution
Project experience using an Agile methodology (e.g. Scrum)
Proficiency with and/or familiarity with a variety of software testing tools such as Quality Center, LoadRunner, TestComplete, Blazemeter, Load Test, Coded UI, etc
Ability to understand REST or SOAP API, JSON and XML formats with experience using API testing tools like JMeter, Postman or SoapUI.
What We’re Looking For
Comfortable leading all aspects of the teams’ testing - Testing and Test Automation Activities
Develops overall QE/testing strategy for teams, including automation, performance, etc.
Designs test reporting and metrics appropriate to project needs
Assesses solution risk and assists project team in prioritizing test efforts
Advises and assists project members with distributed QE responsibilities (e.g. unit testing)
Selects and configures appropriate toolsets to effectively manage testing
Develops detailed testing approach and plans for specific test areas or overall plans for teams
Produces status reports and quality metrics
Facilitates defect triage and manages overall defect resolution process
Conducts test case reviews and ensures requirements traceability, proper coverage
Conduct root cause analysis of identified defects, providing sufficient details to understand, replicate and resolve the defect
Designs test strategies and test cases for complex systems and execute various types of testing (e.g. functional, integration, end-to-end) on a variety of platforms (e.g. mobile, web, portal frameworks)
Technical mentoring of junior team members
Comfortable flexing from leading a test team to performing hands-on test related activities
Assist teams in determining appropriate quality goals and acceptance criteria
Champions Agile Best Testing Practices - Shares knowledge and help build skills of other team members of the Quality Assurance team
