Job summary:

• Perform title examinations while adhering to the Minnesota Title Standards and our underwriter’s policies and procedures.

• Conduct title examination based on available information: title insurance order, purchase agreement, abstracting search, real estate tax data, name search, assessment search and plat drawing.

• Process requests for title commitment endorsements and supplementals.

• Provide professional guidance to the customer regarding possible “action steps” to resolve title issues, without giving legal advice.

• Communicate regularly with the Closers and Managers regarding title issues and possible “action steps” to fulfill title requirements.

• Work with the other production team members to ensure title insurance orders are processed in a timely manner, taking into consideration any special needs/requirements of the customer.

• Assist with reviewing Plats/Assessment Searches

• Assist with updated and issuing Revision Commitments to customers

• Proof and review the title commitment and all customer correspondence for accuracy and content, prior to distribution.

• Use CORE to track receipt and completion of files for examination.

Qualifications:

• Education – High School Diploma, GED or equivalent work experience.

• Skills – Must be professional with internal/external customers. Must have good telephone etiquette and strong presentation skills. Strong Microsoft Word and Outlook.

• Skills - Must be well organized and detail oriented. CORE Direct experience preferred.

• Work Experience – Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience working with a title insurance company or other real estate services company required.
