This position contributes to Starbucks success by supporting technology solutions in support of technology initiatives, specializing in a focus on overall store technology health. As a systems analyst I – Global Technology, you will support the design and development of technology and process solutions establishing key business capabilities enabling the realization of strategic initiatives and operational improvements. This role supports requirements analysis, solution design, and process improvement initiatives in addition to in-depth analysis of technical viability in our stores. While providing support for new technology and existing systems, an effective systems analyst I will develop subject matter expertise and gain valuable experience by partnering with senior analysts, technical resources, and business partners in supporting and delivering meaningful technology solutions. · Analyze store technology operations holistically and create assessments on how to improve technology viability in a store.

· Create and facilitate projects to improve store technology stack.

· Participates on agile methodology scrum teams in execution of solution delivery projects.

Solution Design

· Gathers and documents solution requirements. Documents user story creation and backlog grooming results in an agile environment.

· Develops business process designs.

· Participates on Agile methodology Scrum teams in execution of solution delivery projects.

System Configuration and Testing:

· Develops business process designs.

· Supports solution design utilizing user-centric design techniques.

· Participates on agile methodology scrum teams in execution of solution delivery projects.

System Configuration & Testing

· Supports application configuration (i.e. create attributes, workflows and UI changes) in support of solution delivery initiatives.

· Supports data conversion. Performing extract and validation of converted data.

· Supports solution testing efforts through test execution and validation of test results.

· Uses data queries to support validation of data conversion and test results.

Production Support

· Provides 24*7 global support of critical systems.

· Primary focus on system support, working trouble tickets and escalating to teammates according to priority and required expertise queue, completing resolution within SLA.

· Develop system proficiency and builds subject matter expertise through root cause analysis.

· Coordinates and drives issue resolution within the team and cross-functionally, effectively communicating with end users to gather information and convey status.

· Creates and maintains systems documentation (e.g. Wiki, Knowledge Base Articles)

· Uses query tools to write ad-hoc queries for mass data analysis and operational reports.

Leadership

· Receptive and responsive to coaching and guidance from leaders and more experienced analysts. Seeks input and support as required. Begins working in an increasingly self-directed manner.

· Effective interaction with business partners, responding quickly and thoroughly to issues and requests.

· Provides constructive input and perspective to team conversations.

*If you are working in CA, CO, IL, LA, ME, MA, NE, ND or RI, you will accrue vacation up to a maximum of 120 hours (190 in CA) for roles below director and 200 hours (316 in CA) for roles at director or above. For roles in other states, you will be granted vacation time starting at 120 hours annually for roles below director and 200 hours annually for roles director and above.

The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity. At Starbucks, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the high end of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
