Job Title: Senior Accountant
Job Description
The Senior Accountant role involves preparing and reviewing income and balance sheet statements, consolidated statements, and various other accounting statements and reports. You will analyze financial reports and records, making recommendations related to the accounting of reserves, assets, and expenditures. Additionally, you will review the accuracy of journal entries and accounting classifications assigned to various records, assist in evaluating, recommending, maintaining, and monitoring appropriate internal controls, and assist in the maintenance of internal control documentation. The role requires interaction with both internal and external stakeholders to respond to inquiries or report requests, conducting special studies, and developing or recommending accounting methods and procedures. You will also instruct or assign work to staff and external vendor partners, coordinate accounting matters with other departments and locations, and utilize computers to input, retrieve or display accounting information. Reconciling and reviewing assigned accounts and indirectly overseeing and reviewing the work of 2-3 staff level accountants are also key responsibilities.

Work Site
This is a fully remote position.
Work Environment
This position offers a flexible work environment with the ability to work 100% remotely. Candidates must be local to the MN metro area as there will be quarterly team outings and meetings. An office space is available in Stillwater, MN for those who prefer an office setting. Initial setup with IT on computer systems and access will likely occur in the office on the first day.
