Day-2-Day:

A client in Charlotte, NC is seeking a talented and motivated Business Analyst to join their Data Engineering and BI team. As a Business Analyst, you will be responsible for driving innovation and growth by working on the following project:

1. Fuels Project: You will be working on a cutting-edge project that aims to achieve AI for fuel pricing. You will be responsible for understanding the fuel ecosystem, including how fuel POS systems work, how transactions are processed, and creating data layers. You will also be responsible for ensuring that you have a deep understanding of the fuel business.

Responsibilities are shown below:

* Liaise with the customer community and the software development team to elicit, analyze, communicate and validate requirements for data and BI products.

* Create appropriate user stories within Jira and document the business requirements, business rules and technical specifications.

* Design, develop, test and maintain data storage and data management solutions using SQL and other tools.

* Perform data analysis and triaging to ensure data quality, accuracy and completeness.

* Understand the business domains of our clients, such as fuels, merchandising, pricing, product setup and asset management.

* Look at the bigger picture and provide insights and recommendations to improve the business processes and outcomes.

Skills and Requirements

* 6+ years of experience working as a Business Analyst

* Experience working in a Retail environment

* Advanced experience when it comes to writing user stories

* Extensive experience working with SQL (Ex: joins, filtering, window functions, etc.)

* Experience with Data Analytics -- specifically taking the raw data and understanding how to put it into a report

* Understanding of reporting tools-- Tableau, Power BI, etc.

* Experience working in an agile and scrum environment

* Experience working with Jira

* Must be located in Charlotte, NC and working in a hybrid role

* Fantastic written and communication skills * Experience working with Azure and Databricks null
