PeaceHealth is seeking a Grant Writer - Foundation for a Full Time, 1.00 FTE, Day position. The general salary range for this job opening at PeaceHealth is $36.55 – $54.83. The actual hiring rate is dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to, the job/position responsibilities, location, terms of the applicable collective bargaining agreement, education, training, work experience, seniority, work performance, etc.

This is a remote position however, the incumbent must reside in OR, WA, AK or TX by date of hire.

Job Summary

Responsible for providing funding for identified local, network and system priorities by writing grants to private, government and corporate funders for support; building and maintaining relationships with current funders; and researching and following up with new prospects.

Essential Functions

  1. Synthesizes complex information into clear and concise letters of inquiry, grant proposals, funder reports, and briefing papers.

  2. Develops six and seven figure private, corporate and governmental grant proposals for programs, community health initiatives (social determinants), general operations, and capital projects for PeaceHealth.

  3. Understands PeaceHealth’s local, network and systemwide funding priorities and programs for which funding is requested.

  4. Interviews key people in the organization and performs comprehensive research into the project.

  5. Assists in the development of a Strategic Grant Funding plan which is prioritized and supports PeaceHealth’s mission and strategic plan.

  6. Assists PeaceHealth (local, network, system-wide) to identify grant writing opportunities.

  7. Builds and maintains existing relationships to sustain revenues through private foundation, government, and corporate support.

  8. Provides consultation to PeaceHealth networks during project prioritization process.

  9. Coordinates grants to avoid competition between networks during same funding cycles.

  10. Works directly with regional staff to meet reporting requirements for grant funded projects.

  11. Assists with preparing and distributing internal grant performance reports to Foundations.

  12. Attends training opportunities to remain proficient in grant development and award processes and stay informed of changing grant standards and proposal guidelines.

  13. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree Required: or equivalent knowledge and skills obtained through a combination of education, training and experience.

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in grant writing and research required or equivalent professional/technical writing and research.

  • Proven track record of six and seven figure funded proposals, required.

  • Strong grant budget/budget narrative writing experience. (Required)

  • Strong computer knowledge and administrative skills. (Required)
