PeaceHealth is seeking a Manager - Revenue Cycle, Billing & Follow-up (Remote) for a Full Time, 1.00 FTE, Day position. The general salary range for this job opening at PeaceHealth is $40.22 – $60.34. The actual hiring rate is dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to, the job/position responsibilities, location, terms of the applicable collective bargaining agreement, education, training, work experience, seniority, work performance, etc.

*Must reside in Oregon or Washington and be able to drive to Support Services Building in Vancouver, WA as needed*

Manages the coordination of patient financial services or patient admitting and project management activities with responsibility for results including costs, methods, and staffing. Accountable for achieving financial performance targets and supporting Revenue Cycle processes across PeaceHealth. Works collaboratively with managers and leadership across the organization to ensure successful implementation of revenue cycle processes to develop and sustain high performance work teams and practices that consistently achieve service standards and customer and clinician satisfaction.

Position Details:

  • Responsible for directing and coordinating the overall functions related to assigned revenue cycle department to ensure maximization of cash flow while improving patient, physician, and patient experience.

  • Plans, organizes and directs department activities. Develops goals and objectives. Reviews department performance and effect changes as needed to improve services, and compliance to regulatory requirements.

  • Motivate, facilitate, mentor and coach teams to deliver high quality, cost effective services. Support leadership in the implementation and sustainment of the performance management program which consists of adhering to job priorities, productivity, and quality standards.

  • Develops continuous education and training programs for the career development of staff.

  • Recommends selection of caregivers. Monitors and evaluates performance and accountability of staff. Evaluates competence and initiates performance improvement plans to develop caregivers. Provides meaningful and constructive feedback. Coordinates the use of Corrective Action Plans for benchmark outliers.

  • Utilizes metrics, data and analytics to measure and deliver performance that meet or exceed best practice national benchmarks in the management of functional area.

  • Manages the preparation and recommendations of the department budget. Evaluate and justify equipment and supply needs. Projects the department’s growth and needs for future planning. Maintains complete and accurate documentation of monthly expenditures for FYI budget.

  • Monitors production statistics and performs assigned audit to assure billing accuracy, timeliness and compliance to the billing standards.

  • Responsible for coordinating performance standards with PeaceHealth benchmarks established by the system team.

  • Works with leadership to assist in the development of policies, procedures, and enhancements to the delivery of services and operations of the department.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

What you bring:

  • Bachelor's Degree OR a combination of education and professional experience that provides the incumbent with the requisite knowledge, skills and ability to successfully perform the job required.

  • Minimum of 5 years Revenue cycle experience within a hospital or health system setting required.

  • Minimum of 2 years leadership experience required.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Epic preferred.

  • HFMA, MGMA or AHIMA certification preferred.

  • EPIC Certification in one or more hospital claims processes preferred.

Skills

  • Ability to deliver financial results for areas of accountability. (Required)

  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of accounting and financial reporting policies and procedures in a hospital or clinic environment. (Required)

  • Knowledge of current applications and trends in information technology. (Required)

  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience of relevant systems. (Required)

  • Must have working knowledge of EMR and Revenue Cycle tools. (Required)

  • Must be detail oriented and well organized. (Required)

  • Proven team leadership skills. (Required)

  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written. (Required)

  • Proficient computer skills including MS Office applications. (Required)

Department / Location Specific Notes

24-hour responsibility of department – applies to Patient Access only

Manages the workflow and procedures, with Admitting Department and the coordination of procedures with other hospital departments.

  • Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.

  • The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.
