About the position:

The Field Service Engineer provides engineering and technical support and feedback to Raymond development teams as the voice of the customer and servicing technicians for Raymond iWAREHOUSE® and Automated Products. You will:

  • Be involved with new development projects as a field representative to understand impacts of new development activities on existing product lines as well as how new products will be supported once available to the field.
  • Gather and provide information with regard to customer and Raymond Solution and Support Center experience with existing iWAREHOUSE® and Automated Product lines to enhance technical and customer training and documentation.
  • Provide field feedback to product development teams for inclusion in development efforts
  • Review and provide technical and professional feedback on technical publication documents and training programs
  • Creates and update Standard Work Documentation
  • Provide updates and insights to new development efforts to field support teams
  • Act as initial subject matter expert on engineering development efforts and guides learning of field support teams
  • Interact with customers and Solutions and Support Centers to garnish feedback on products
  • Provide training to customers and technicians on new products and technologies
  • Create and define troubleshooting steps and process for non-defined applications
  • Define and document best practices and works to continuously improve them
  • Analyze data from iWAREHOUSE® systems to identify trends and troubleshooting steps
  • Provide training to other employees, partners, advocates and customers

About you:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or computer science.
  • 1+ years of engineering experience or a Master's Degree in engineering.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and carry out technical activities with little to no supervision.
  • Competent in applicable PC applications.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Flexibility to travel for in-person training (less than 15%)
  • Ability to be on a rotating 24/7 on-call schedule.
  • Works well in a team or individual environment.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to present technical material to a technically diverse audience as well as a non-technically diverse audience.

It would be great if you had:

  • Experience in the Material Handling Systems Industry.
  • Systems integration or networking exposure.
  • Understanding of various software programming languages (C, C+, Linux).
  • Understanding of wireless networking and networking infrastructure.
  • Additional knowledge of Raymond Material Handling equipment.
  • Project management experience.

About remote work:

Fully remote candidates will be considered based on experience and skill set. Fully remote candidates may be required to travel to Greene, NY for onboarding and/or periodically throughout the year based on business need. To be considered for a fully remote position you MUST reside in one of the following states: Alabama, Arizona, District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Vermont, Virginia, Washington or Wisconsin.

About the total compensation package:

Salary - Expected to be between $70,700 - $90,500 depending on the selected candidate’s background.
