The Kubernetes Cloud Engineer position is responsible for resolving production support issues and continuously improving our product offering. The incumbent will be responsible for supporting and developing these services, while also exhibiting a professional demeanor and positive attitude within a dynamic and fast paced work environment.
Supports new customer platforms and assists development teams
Leverages, develops and or enhances our Kubernetes solutions
Writes and maintains scripts for system maintenance and administration
Creates new Helm charts and builds new Kubernetes environments
Create reports, dashboards, and processes to monitor and analyze availability and performance metrics
Works with architects, technologists, and others for future system enhancements and scalability
Actively participates in decisions to develop and improve security-based standards and practices
Performs advanced troubleshooting techniques in a high-pressure environment
Other responsibilities as assigned
Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Kubernetes Engineer in a Linux environment
Expert in: Kubernetes/EKS/AKS, AWS (Amazon Web Services) Cloud Services, Containers (building, updating, managing container images, deploying to containers, and orchestrating), Micro-services, Scripting (Bash, Python, etc.)
Experienced in: Linux, Active Directory/LDAP, DNS, DHCP, Firewall, Helm chart, Networking setup in Kubernetes & AWS, Cloud Security setup in AWS, Grafana/Prometheus, GITOPS, Flux
Kubernetes Certification preferred
Must have professional demeanor and approach to working with customers
Ability to grow skills and expand knowledge on best practices using industry available information and documentation
