GET, INC. & GET-NSA, LLC Lead Developer / SAP SME - Mostly Remote in Washington, District Of Columbia

THIS IS A MOSTLY-REMOTE POSITION WITH SOME TRAVEL.

In its majority, work will be performed remotely, from the employee's place of residence. Pre-planned travel to Amarillo, Texas, for on-site interaction, support, and training will be required up to every 6 weeks.

This position requires a current DOE Q or DoD Top Secret / SCI security clearance.Demonstratable SAP knowledge is required. SAP certification in related areas is preferred.

Global Engineering and Technology (GET) is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Lead Developer in support of a United States Department of Energy national security facility. This is a highly compensated, high-responsibility technical lead developer position that is central to our mission's success.

The Lead Developer provides oversight to developers and interfaces with customers in their respective business areas. This individual develops, creates, maintains, and writes/codes new (or modifies existing) computer applications, software, or specialized utility programs. The Lead Developer also works with customer representatives to develop technical and design specifications for the applications they support.

This position is responsible for generating a bi-weekly status report on development projects within the assigned business support areas.

Compensation Range: $160,000-$195,000 / year (depending on qualifications)

Requirements

Security Clearance:

This position requires a current DOE Q or DoD Top Secret security clearance.

Demonstratable SAP knowledge is required. SAP certification in related areas is preferred.

Required skills and experience (as demonstrated by technical expertise and certification, where applicable):

  • Demonstratable SAP knowledge is required. SAP certification in related areas is preferred.

  • 5-10 years' experience in ABAP development and ABAP Objects

  • 5-10 years' experience in SAP's Plant Maintenance module

  • 2-5 years' experience in designing, maintaining, and implementing large-scale enterprise business applications is desired, especially experience with SAP products

  • 5-10 years' experience in Object Oriented Programming/Design, Web Development, Database programming, debugging

  • 5-10 years' experience with JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, SQL technologies

  • 5-10 years' experience in Web Services (SOAP and REST), and client-side JavaScript frameworks like React, UIS, or Angular

  • 2-5 years' experience with Agile SCRUM development projects

  • Ability to develop robust and maintainable code with clear documentation

  • Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Design concepts such as inheritance, composition, and encapsulation, as well as the MVC design pattern

  • Oracle or other relational database management systems with experience in SQL

  • Practical knowledge of change management processes is a plus, e.g., Git, Cl/CD pipelines, SAP transports

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Experience supporting and mentoring junior developers

Required Education:

  • Associate's degree in a technical field and 15 years of related experience OR a Bachelor's degree in a technical field and 10 years of related experience OR a Master's degree in a technical field and 5 years of related experience
