Akima Program Support Analyst - Executive Assistant (Remote position for candidates in Washington DC Metro area only) in Washington, District Of Columbia

Responsibilities

  • Performs analytical and reporting tasks to generate reports, timelines, correspondence, and presentations using various software tools.

  • Conducts research to verify the accuracy of data presented in reports and other products. Assemble outgoing material and verifying that attachments and exhibits are present and complete.

  • Engages in on-going analysis of operational services to identify and report on patterns / trends and recommend solutions to increase efficiency and effectiveness. Participate in administrative operations to determine the adequacy of present processes and procedures to improve organizational operations.

  • Performs a variety of activities in support of functional areas such as finance, purchasing, or Human Resources (HR) or for a specific project/business/technical unit. Execute, track, and manage taskers and data calls from multiple sources.

  • Assists the key officials in the timely completion of projects or activities of an urgent nature. Establish and maintaining effective interpersonal relationships to coordinate with division/office operational activities with the staff on a variety of support service elements; orchestrate protocol arrangements for visits, meetings and conferences; and provide effective advice and assistance on administrative matters.

  • Coordinates and prepares meetings with senior executives and program stakeholders, working with staff to solicit and finalize agendas, and producing minutes documenting the activities of meetings.

  • Provides data and information to others on functional unit processes and procedures.

Qualifications

  • US Citizenship required.

  • Ability to obtain an HHS Public Trust clearance.

  • High School Diploma is required. Associate or bachelor's degree desired.

  • 3+ years of relevant experience supporting the federal government is required. HHS experience highly desired (or public health domain or government public affairs support).

  • Must have advanced proficiency in at least three (3) MS Office applications (Word, Excel, and Power Point). Experience using electronic document tracking systems and/or other databases is required.

  • Must be proficient in the use of Smartsheet.

  • Must have strong interpersonal skills and ability to work across various functional groups.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills including strong writing/editing/proofreading skills (must have excellent grammar, syntax, spelling, and punctuation).

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment in which priorities shift quickly with demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and budgetary requirements.

  • Must have the ability to work independently or under only general direction.

  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.

Pay Range

60,000 - 75,000
